VCM IDS(VCM) is a high-performance, rugged, vehicular serial communication gateway. The device provides multiple vehicle serial communication interfaces to meet the needs of Ford Motor Company vehicles.
VCM2’s device contains five LED status indicators to provide the user with a visual mode for the internal VCM, vehicle, and host devices (e.g. Heavenly T-controller,PC, classic Pocket PC/PDS, laptop/IDS) operation.
There are also removable VCM cables connected to the industry standard high-speed host interface as well as under vehicle testing.
VCM’s DVD includes IDS(Comprehensive Diagnostic Software) and PDS(Portable Diagnostic Software) tools.
The diagnostic range includes most of my 1996 (produced in 1995 2007) Ford, Lincoln/Mercury & Mazda vehicles.

1. Application overview
Integrated diagnostic software (IDS) is the next generation of diagnostic tools. The IDS integrated software retrofit uses WDS for the off-the-shelf laptop with Vehicle Communication Module (VCM) currently used for swing + and PDS, and a new Vehicle Measurement Module (VMM).
2. Vehicle diagnostic connector
VCM’s 16-pin DLC cable is used to connect VCM’s vehicles. VMM VCM and connect to laptop via inthernet-USB adapter cable (H406 / H416).
3. Interface device
Interface devices using this application are:
VCM Vehicle Communication Module: This device provides all the linked functions including: data logger basics, self-testing, service functions, module configuration and programming.
4. Supported languages
English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, etc.
5. Special functions:
It can install IDS software and Jaguar Land Rover software on a single computer. Through a conversion software, you can achieve software conversion from IDS and Jaguar Land Rover, with free updates.
6. Model years:
This machine can make Ford and Mazda new and old cars, there is no age limit. For Jaguar and Land Rover, it can only do after 2005. It will require pin codes for Ford vehicles before 2009 when you are critical to programming. After 2010, it doesn’t require a password.
Hardware and software requirements Installation:
1.1 Please install IDS and Jaguar Land Rover Local Disk C
id software is for Ford and Mazda and it must be installed to local drivers.
Jaguar Land Rover software is available for Jaguar and Land Rover, and local driver C is also required.
In addition, at least 15 grams of available space is required in your local driver C before installing the software
1.2 Computer Configuration Requirements
Computer memory: at least 1 gb
CPU: At least 1 ghz
Netbooks (ULpcs) are not allowed
1.3 USB interface is required
Each laptop has more than one USB port, one of which is the main port and the other auxiliary port, make sure to use the USB port to work with the main port
1.4 Computer operating system required
For computer operating systems, use Windows XP(sp2 and sp3) Professional 32-bit.
Home Edition and other systems are not allowed
1.5. Conversion software needs to be installed and instructions followed.
Note that this application connects the interface of the detection device to the laptop. The indicator icon will appear in the bottom right corner of the IDS screen when the VCM is connected.
Common problems:
Q: What is the difference between SP10-B,SP10-T and SP10-D?
A: The highlight of the SP10-D is that it can do programming in both new and old modules, including critical programming
But SP10-B and SP10-T cannot support programming modules before 2005!
